My in the bag: A review of my discs!

Hello! My name is Josef and I have been playing disc golf for 5 years. I got hooked on the sport right away, and a clear example of that is that after only 5 months I started building a disc golf course, Grebo Discgolf course, just outside Linköping. Since then, disc golf has become a way of life for me.

I throw about as often backhand as forehand from the tee and have a throw length of about 100 meters. My biggest strength is my forehands, which I usually do with my Berg forehand. I try to have a wide variety of discs in my bag, but I don't have that many distance drivers. I feel like I have more control with my midrange and fairway drivers off the tee.
As you can see below, about half of my bag consists of slower discs, which gives me better control out on the track.

Putt & Approach

K1 Berg:
Berg is perfect for me when I shoot between 20-60 meters. It has a neutral flight and holds its angle well. I usually throw it on the forehand.

K1 Berg X:

This is a perfect complement to my K1 Berg. I use it when I want a reliable fade at the end of my Bergkast. A disc that is between my K1 Berg and K1 Järn in stability.

K3 Reko:

My putter. The K3 plastic is unbeatable for a good grip.. It's a neutral putter with a microbead that fits perfectly in my hand.

Neutron Soft Proxy:
My putting putter. Proxy is a basic putter that fits well in the hand and gives me nice, straight throws.

Envy:
My overstable throwing putter. I pick it up when I want a smoother putter than my Berg X but still a reliable fade at the end of the throw.

K1 Järn:
A reliably overstable approach disc that I can always rely on when I need a clear fade at the end of the cast. Perfect for entering against the wind.

Midrange

K1 Svea:
A midrange with incredible glide and easy distance. For me, it is clearly understable and a disc I recommend to all beginners in disc golf.

K1 Göte:
A straight midrange, which makes it perfect when I want a little more distance than a putter but still get a disc that goes straight as nails without much fade.

K1 Nord:
A reliably overstable midrange that can handle headwinds well. Also works very well on the forehand.

Neutron Hex:
A relatively flat midrange that goes straight with a slight fade at the end. It holds its angle for a long time and is very reliable.

Fairway Drivers

K1 Stig:
A favorite in my and many others' bags. A nice fairway driver that gives good distance that is perfect as a first fairway driver for beginners.

K1 Idog:
It flies very straight but has a reliable fade and works well on the forehand too.

K1 Falk:
A faster fairway driver with a lot of glide. It was the disc I threw the longest for a long time due to its slippage and understability as a beginner. I recommend Falk to anyone who wants to get more length in their throws.

K1 Lots:

A personal favorite. Lots flies very far for a speed 9 disc. It goes straight and has a reliable fade. I think it is fantastic on the forehand and goes perfectly. A must in my bag!

K1 Stål:
I often describe Stål as my best disc that I should use more often. I always trust Stål when I need a clear overstable finish.

Distance Drivers

K1 Älva: A distance drives with a nice understability that gives nice S-curves. Perfect for beginners who want to try throwing their first distance driver.

K1 Krut:
A reliable overstable driver that I use when I need a little more glide and distance than my Steel, but still want a reliable overstable finish.

K1 Guld:

The distance driver I use the most. It flies very straight with a small turn and a nice overstable finish. The K1 plastic is comfortable in the hand with no sharp edges, making it perfect when I want to throw hard.
