Max in the bag

Hello! My name is Max, and disc golf isn't just a hobby for me – it's a passion. Since I picked up my first disc at the beginning of 2019, I have completely fallen in love with the sport. There is something about the feeling of seeing a disc fly perfectly, that balance between technique and equipment, that makes me always want to play more and get better.

For me, disc golf is not just about how far I can throw (although 130-140 meters with a backhand feels pretty good!). It is also about choosing the right disc for the right situation. Packing my bag is a bit like building a toolbox – each disc has its special role. Here's an insight into what I bring with me to the track and why I love these particular discs.

Mine in the bag

Hello! My name is Josef and I have been playing disc golf for 5 years. I got hooked on the sport right away, and a clear example of that is that after only 5 months I started building a disc golf course, Grebo Discgolf course, just outside Linköping. Since then, disc golf has become a way of life for me.

I throw about as often backhand as forehand from the tee and have a throw length of about 100 meters. My biggest strength is my forehands, which I usually do with my Berg forehand. I try to have a wide variety of discs in my bag, but I don't have that many distance drivers. I feel like I have more control with my midrange and fairway drivers off the tee.
As you can see below, about half of my bag consists of slower discs, which gives me better control out on the track.

Elliots in the bag

Hello! My name is Elliot and I have been playing disc golf since 2022. For me, it quickly went from being a "fun thing" to a total love of the sport! I remember thinking after only a month or so, "I only need three discs and a small bag." But, a few months later I was standing there with a big backpack and over 20 discs. How many do I have today? We'll leave that unsaid... The competition also became a natural part of my journey. Although I am a happy amateur and do not play at any high level, I find competitions to be a great way to challenge both myself and others. In addition, you get to meet lots of lovely people, which is a big bonus!

Petters in the bag

Hi, Petter here! As some of you may know, I co-founded Ugglans Discgolf. It was around the same time that I started playing the sport we all love. At the time, I had very little knowledge and a poor grasp of which discs suited me. Four years later, I have acquired a deeper understanding of why each disc has its place in my bag.
